Welcome to Dooars Jagron

The organization was started in November 2003 as a direct, spontaneous response to the starvation deaths in the tea plantations. However, all the founding members of the organization have been involved in political and social work in this area for a while. It has existed as a formal, registered entity since May 2004 and as such remains at a very nascent stage. It started with relief work in a garden where people were dying due to starvation.
